Trial Date Set for Carly Rousso

The Highland Park teen is schedule to go on trial May 2 on charges that she was intoxicated when she ran over and killed a 5-year-old girl.

Carly Rousso’s trial date has been set for May 2, according to an article in TribLocal.

Rousso, 19, has pleaded not guilty on charges of reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence. She is accused of having huffed an intoxicant on Labor Day 2012 before driving over the curb on Central Avenue in Highland Park and killing 5-year-old Jaclyn Santos-Sacramento.

Both the prosecutor and defense attorney said they have not been able to agree on a plea deal, the TribLocal story says.
