Wilds Things: Remember those big, furry monsters from the 1963 children's story Where the Wild Things Are? They were based on the author's Jewish relatives, . "In A Nutshell: The World’s of Maurice Sendak," explores the influence of Jewish culture and history on the author and illustrator’s famous children’s books." The exhibit will be around through June.

Dashing Duo: Two Highland Park High School students at a sectional meet held over the weekend. David Berk won the Palatine Sectional title in pole vault after clearing a height of 15'0", a new personal record (PR). Ari Rothschild also set a new PR in the 3,200 meter run and finished fifth in the sectional with a time of 9:26.2, two seconds under the state qualifying standard.
