CITY OF HIGHWOOD URGES RESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS TO “DESIGN DOWNTOWN HIGHWOOD”

HIGHWOOD (NOVEMBER 12-18, 2013)
-
The City
of Highwood
is urging
residents to help shape the future for downtown Highwood by participating in
interactive workshops. Guests can share their ideas and opinions for enhancing
downtown Highwood during two workshops, held on Tuesday, November 12th
at 6pm and Monday, November 18th at 6pm at Highwood City Hall (17
Highwood Avenue).

The first
community workshop will feature a hands-on 3D mapping exercise that will enable
community members to visualize their ideas for the downtown area. Attendees can
have their voice heard, and hear about different ideas from friends and
neighbors. During the second community workshop, guests will learn how
residents envision the future of Highwood, and will have an opportunity to
participate in two interactive exercises aimed at prioritizing key issues of
the planning process.
