Consulate General of Israel Presents: Brave Miss World

The Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest will be hosting a Film Screening and a Panel on Tuesday, June 24 from 6.30 to 8.45 pm at the MusicBox Theatre, 3733 N Southport Ave. Chicago, Free and Open to the Public.

A new film by Cecilia Peck, Brave Miss World, is an incredibly moving and powerful film about an Israeli woman who was raped prior to her winning the Miss World competition in 1998. The movie is an uplifting telling of her story and the advocacy she’s done since then.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion:
Jennifer Welch - Dep. Commissioner of the Chicago Dep. of Family and Support Services
Christine Evans - Legal Director - Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation
Nabilah Talib - Director Wellness Services - Young Women's Christian Assoication
Debra Little - A rape survivor speaking about her experience
with Special Guest, Lisa Madigan, Illinois Attorney General
