Exhibit Lecture: The Spirit of Hanukkah Through the Eyes of Chicagoland Artists

The Rissman Family Kol Ami Museum at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El presents "City of Broad Shoulders and Bright Lights: The Spirit of Hanukkah Through the Eyes of Chicagoland Artists," November 16, 2012 through February 19, 2013. This all-media art exhibition, curated by Molly J. Schiff, includes works by 18 local artists representing the symbols, history, and customs of Hanukkah.

An Exhibit Lecture will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Marla Hand, Curator of the Robert B. Mayer Family Collection and art history professor at Loyola University, will provide an introduction to the techniques and styles represented in the exhibit, with a focus on how the elements of light and color are used to convey the sentiments of Hanukkah.

For more information, exhibit hours, and to RSVP for the lecture, contact Marcie Eskin at meskin@nssbethel.org or 847/432-8903 x234.
