This December, In the Raw launches a 10-day Kidney Detox Program with Health Coach and Author, Dr. Dena Mendes. The program consists of 10 days of a combination program with two juices, a superfood smoothie, plus raw lunch and dinner each day. Dr. Mendes has designed the specific juice and menu to promote kidney support and detoxification. Each season correlates to an organ and healthy kidneys are the key to surviving the winter, as it is the most exposed then.

“It’s kidney season and a time to cleanse, strengthen, nurture and be kind to our kidneys,” says Mendes. “The kidneys strengthen the bones and bone marrow, which in turn strengthen the lungs. The kidneys rule over the ears and throat, too.”

The first group begins on December 3 with a kickoff meeting at 2:00 p.m. and anyone is welcome to partake in the kidney detox program. Included in the program are all juices and food as well as a 20-minute complimentary consultation with Dr. Mendes. Price to participate is $700. To sign up, contact Rihanna at 847.508.9047. Ongoing kidney programs are available. One week’s advance notice is required.

In addition to this special program, In the Raw always offers a variety of detox programs including the traditional 3-day or 5-day juice cleanses. All juices are made fresh using the Norwalk Press thus yielding more juice and greater vitamin and mineral extraction and absorption.
