Rotary Club to Host Highland Park City Council Candidate Luncheon

On Monday January 28, 2013 The Highland Park/Highwood Rotary Club will host the six candidates seeking election to the Highland Park City Council in April of 2013.  The candidates will present their platform to the membership and guests in a town hall meeting format.


 The public is encouraged to attend the event from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Highland Park Country Club.  Lunch will be served at 11:30, and candidate presentations are set to begin just after noon. Reserved seats are limited and non-members of Rotary are asked to RSVP to dawnrotary@gmail.com. Registration will require your name, address, email and phone number.  Reservations will be confirmed by January 25, 2013


 The Rotary Club of Highland Park/Highwood has been supporting charities in the community since 1927.  The Rotary Club actively sponsors many programs including the Rotary Interact Club at the high school, and the TABU exchange program. The club provides support to deserving groups including the Lake County Veterans and Family Services, and the troops at The Great Lakes Naval Station. In conjunction with the First Bank of Highland Park, the Highland Park/Highwood Rotary Club completed the second Financial Literacy program for high school students in 2012.  Rotary might best be know for the countless scholarships that have been awarded over the years ensuring a bright future for many of our students.

You can make a difference, and we can show you how!  As a member, you’ll join the Highland Park/Highwood Rotary Club each Monday at 11:30 am at the Highland Park Country Club for fellowship and lunch.  The program always includes an interesting guest or keynote speaker.
