Highland Park Arts Month Celebration Day

Free Arts Celebration Day Kicks Off Arts Month in Highland Park!

Sunday, October 13th 1-5pm

Family fun awaits children and adults of all ages during Highland Park's Arts Month Celebration Day Sunday, October 13th from 1-5pm. The event will feature music, art, dance, theater, poetry, and storytelling by many local arts organizations. Hands - on art demonstrations and workshops for ceramics, drawing, knitting, and mosaics will also be offered, along with Halloween art projects.

Participating arts groups include ARTicuLT Reader's Theatre, Citadel Theatre, Highland Park Strings, HPHS String Quartet, Irina Makkai Dance, Midwest Young Artists Jazz Combo, North Shore School of Dance, and Short Story Theatre.

Arts Month Celebration Day will take place at The Art Center - Highland Park, 1957 Sheridan Rd. It is sponsored by The Highland Park Cultural Arts Commission and the Highland Park Cultural Arts Network (HPCAN). Admission is free, refreshments will be provided.

TAC is a not-for-profit community art center committed to quality arts education and enrichment for people of all ages. With more than 400 classes and workshops, 60 teachers, and 20 exhibits each year and the annual Festival of Fine Craft attended by 20,000 people, TAC brings the benefit of visual expression to citizens of all ages throughout the community.
