Making Sense of Memory Loss. Why do we forget? What can be done about it? Presented by Daniel Kuhn, LCSW

This free education program, sponsored by Silverado Lake Zurich, will explain the causes of memory loss and related cognitive problems, and will include discussion of coping strategies, care techniques and risk reduction. Both families of those affected by memory loss and care professionals are welcome to attend.

Daniel Kuhn, LCSW is a Community Educator and Project Manager for Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care of Mount Prospect. For the past 40 years he has focused on dementia care, end-of-life care and family caregiving issues. He has authored or co-authored over 50 publications and has given hundreds of presentations to professionals and family caregivers throughout the United States and internationally. The third edition of his book, Alzheimer's Early Stages: First Steps for Families, Friends and Caregivers, will be available at the event.
