Ravine Restoration

[Adults]

Take a walk along the historic Rosewood ravine trail to
welcome the wildflowers and learn first-hand about the Park District’s Ravine
Stream Habitat Restoration program. This unique effort to protect wildlife and
property and reduce pollution to Lake Michigan has been conducted in
conjunction with the US Army Corps of Engineers. We will look at healthy ravine
ecology, demonstrate ways residents can become stewards of their own property
and try our hands at the stream monitoring techniques which help gauge our
success. This program will meet at Rosewood Park: 45 Roger Williams Avenue,
Highland Park, IL 60035.

No pre-registration required.
