Rotary Live & Study Abroad Application Deadline September 18

Looking for adventure in a foreign land? The Rotary
Club of Highland Park Highwood will be accepting applications now through
September 18, 2013 for the Rotary Outbound Youth Exchange 2014-2015
program.  The program is open to students
born between August 15, 1995 and February 15, 1999.  The chosen Rotary Outbound Youth
Exchange student will spend a year living with host families and attending
school in a different country. Students will learn a new way of living,
a great deal about themselves, and maybe even a new language. The Rotary Outbound
Youth Exchange Student will also be an ambassador, teaching people about our country,
culture, and ideas.

Students interested in applying for the exchange
program need to be in good academic standing, to show initiative to be involved
in activities in the host country, to be flexible and interested in other
cultures, and to preserve the dignity and reputation of the Rotary motto of
Service Above Self.  Applications are
available at the Highland Park High School counseling center and must be
returned for consideration no later than September 18, 2013.  Applicants are asked to indicate which
country they would like to live.
Exchange countries from Australia to Zaire are available. Applicant
should list their preferences for up to 5 countries. To learn more and to
located the country of your choice visit http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/752en.pdf
