Save the Stupey Cabin Fundraising Kick-off Picnic

The Stupey Cabin is the oldest structure in Highland Park, built in 1847, and moved from Exmoor Country Club in 1969 to land in front of the Library.   The cabin symbolizes the pioneers that preceded towns along the North Shore and it needs extensive repairs to insure its existence for future generations..  The needed repairs include a new roof, fixing rotting timbers, making the building water tight and re-grading.     In addition to the repairs, there are plans for new programming  so the cabin can be an active,  educational site.  The  Save the Stupey Cabin Committee and the Highland Park Historical Society are spearheading a community wide fund raising effort which kicks off with a picnic on  June 2nd    Bring the family, listen to a band and meet your friends, neighbors and elected officials.  Cancelled in the event of rain. $5 suggested donation
