Families Delight in Winter Wonderland
Highland Park's celebration of season offers rides, gingerbread house making contests and more.
Winter Wonderland transformed two blocks of Central Avenue in downtown Highland Park from Green Bay Road to First Street into a holiday movie set with live actors playing a variety of roles.
The festivities continue until 8 p.m. Friday and pick up again from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Children were making gingerbread houses under the direction of The Art Center and the local elementary or middle school with the most entries will win a pizza party. There will also be individual prizes for all children under 12.

Two live actors were posing for photos in between juggling in front of a balloon brought in from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
