Rose’s Bakery Hopes for Thanksgiving Opening

Gluten free bakery continues to put finishing touches on its downtown Highland Park location.

There will be a new place to buy baked goods, enjoy a pizza and more in Highland Park by Thanksgiving and it will be a unique place.

Rose’s Café and Bakery, a gluten free operation, will be serving customers on Central Avenue in Highland Park by Thanksgiving, according to owner Marcus Lemonis of Lake Forest. Finishing touches are being put in place for the company’s second location. Rose’s currently serves customers in Evanston.

Rose’s will offer fresh baked breads, cookies, cakes, cupcakes and muffins, as well as pizza, soups and sandwiches. The Highland Park location will be open seven days a week. "Having gone gluten free over a year ago and becoming a patron of Rose's, I know the love and devotion that customers have for Rose's," Lemonis said in January.
