Chick-fil-A Encourages Customers to Camp Out for Local Grand Opening

The first 100 adults in line will receive vouchers for 52 free meals.

Vernon Hills’ new Chick-fil-A will reward its first 100 adult customers with a free meal each week for an entire year.

The restaurant, which was recently built at 701 N. Milwaukee Ave., will open for business at 6 a.m. Nov. 14. Fans will be allowed to claim their place in line up to 24 hours in advance, Chick-fil-A said in a press release. Customers must be at least 18 and have identification to qualify for the promotion, which will offer 52 vouchers redeemable for a sandwich, fries and a drink.

If more than 100 people are in line 24 hours before the restaurant opens, the 100 winners will be chosen by a drawing. Those chosen will need to remain camped out to receive their vouchers on Nov. 14.

As part of its grand opening celebration, the restaurant is partnering with The Chapel for a non-perishable food drive at the restaurant from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 15-16, which will benefit the Community CARE Center. Anyone donating four or more items during that time will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich.

Items needed include soup, chili, fruit, tomatoes and tuna. The Chapel is a multi-site church that serves the Mundelein, Libertyville, and surrounding communities.
