Patch went to Facebook to learn people's choice for the sweetest treat in Deerfield and Highland Park. See what we found.
Though the research is not scientific, Patch asked its Facebook followers where they went to purchase the sweetest treat in Deerfield or Highland Park and there were nearly as many favorites as responses.
Some favored specialty shops while others chose goods from Sunset Foods and Jewel. Carol’s Cookies was a pick from Sunset. Menchies and Baker Boys had their share of fans as well. Another reader would like to see Baum’s Bakery make a return to Highland Park.
The reason there are no quotes in this story is most people offered one word answers, which were more than sufficient. One Deerfield restaurant, D.C. Sarnies, used a picture—see photo above—and wrote, “We’ll just leave it here.”
