LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST HIGHLAND PARK FOR THE ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN.

Ahh, it is a glorious day to be alive and an American Citizen, with inalienable Constitutional Rights! The City of Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and the City Council Passed an UnConstitutional "Assault Weapons Ban" and now that law is being challenged in the Lake County Courthouse. The good Dr. Arie S. Friedman and the Illinois State Rifle Association have filed suit against the City of Highland Park and their violation of our Second Amendment Constitutional Rights. Our great Founders of this nation, forsaw the need to have a system in which the citizens would have a way to keep the government in check...and it works! Our Veterans have fought and sacrificed for over two hundred years to protect and preserve this system and our Constitutional Rights, we will not stand by and allow "FREEDOMS SACRIFICES" to be dishonored. Governor Quinn, Rep.Scott Drury and Senator Morrissy have set up Highland Park to take the fall and Mayor Nancy Rotering and most of the H.P. City Council bought into it, only Councilman Naftzger had the good sense to vote no and warn about a lawsuit and all of the costs involved. This epic failure of leadership by all involved from the Governor to the Mayor, is going to be very costly to the residents of Highland Park.
