MAYOR NANCY ROTERING, UNFIT TO BE MAYOR?

 Mayor Nancy Rotering and the the Highland Park City Council have successfully passed an assault weapons ban ordinance. 
This new ordinance bans commonly owned firearms, pistols, shotguns, sporting rifles and standard capacity magazines. This is a misguided ban that blatantly infringes against our 2nd amendment rights.
One of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, spoke of bureaucrats like Mayor Rotering, that would work tirelessly to infringe upon our Rights. We must not allow this kind of infringement upon our rights to stand, or it will set a precident for other infringements to follow.
I call to all of the veterans and the families of veterans, I call to all who are citizens of the city of Highland Park, I call to all who still believe in the principles of our great nation, our Constitution, the Bill of Rights and Democracy: I call you to action, I call you to defend your rights that have been challenged by Mayor Nancy Rotering and the Highland Park City Council. We must raise this issue at every opportunity. We must talk to our friends, relatives, and neighbors at work or school. We must prepare for the next election in 2015. Let's demonstrate the power of "we the people". Register to vote and vote against Mayor Nancy Rotering and every single council member that voted in favor of violating our Constitutional Rights.
