Internationally Recognized Ragtime Pianist Performs in Highland Park

Internationally recognized ragtime pianist performs a special concert at Library.

      For a special chance to hear internationally recognized pianist, composer, and recording artist Reginald Robinson perform ragtime music, stop by the Highland Park Public Library on Sunday, March 4.  Robinson will perform his original tunes and some traditional ragtime pieces in a special appearance at the Library for an afternoon concert.

     Called the country’s leading composer of contemporary ragtime, Robinson’s recognition and awards include the MacArthur Foundation’s Genius Award for his ragtime compositions and recordings.      

     The free concert begins at 2 p.m. and is and is sponsored by Whitehall of Deerfield Healthcare Center.  Highland Park Public Library is located at 494 Laurel Avenue, Highland Park and is open Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.  For more information, please call (847) 432-0216 or visit hplibrary.org.
