"Chomsky is also a prominent public intellectual whose opinions on a wide range of political topics — American foreign policy, the Middle East, capitalism, fossil fuels, education, etc. — are well known and often controversial."
Our limits of understanding of problems, even for intellectual level of Chomsky, are limited by dogmas, which prevail in any group of society:
Left (right) will be different by their previous influence on individual as in American foreign policy, the same as understanding of problems in the Middle East, capitalism.
Dogma that greenhouse gases are responsible for climate change (very dangerous limits on view about fossil fuel), is completely out of understanding of differences of lighter than nitrogen and oxygen greenhouse gases, like methane, water vapor and heavier than nitrogen and oxygen-carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and twenty more heavier than these last. These two types of greenhouse gases are playing different role in nature, which can't see dogmatic mind.
Dogmatism of Chomsky unfortunately influence too many especially in education.
If we need reforms in education, it must be more skeptical view on any source of information, especially from intellectuals of Chomsky level.
Please, remind to yourself how dogma that earth is the center of universe influence mind of millions very smart persons during thousands of years.
We must clean ourselves from dogmatic views, which are huge parts of our understanding realities.
Be free of dogmas!
