Kim Stone for HP City Council

I strongly support Kim Stone for Highland Park City Council, and I encourage my fellow residents to vote for Kim.

Kim has a history in our community as a strong advocate for children’s health and safety. Over the past decade, I have worked closely with Kim to make the parks safer for our community. One of Kim’s many strengths is in working collaboratively to generate solutions, and she continues to advocate via her roles on advisory committees for both North Shore School District 112 and the Park District of Highland Park.

Kim is a leader on environmental issues and sustainability. Much of what our City Council deals with has an environmental component, e.g. energy, water, transportation, and Kim's extensive knowledge will be an asset to City Council.

Kim earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy, and serves on the city’s Transportation Commission and Sustainability Alliance. She is well informed about how the city and council operate. With 20 years of professional experience in the non-profit sector, Kim has expertise in managing tight budgets, and will use our tax dollars prudently.

Perhaps most importantly, Kim possesses the intelligence and courage to ask important questions on our behalf. Her independence, honesty and integrity will serve us all well. Please join me in voting for Kim Stone on April 9th.
