Attention Young Musicians: Midwest Young Artists Auditions are Underway until May 1st

FORT SHERIDAN, IL February 17, 2014—Midwest Young Artists (MYA) is holding auditions for talented young instrumentalists and singers who would like to perform in critically acclaimed orchestras, big bands, choruses and chamber or jazz ensembles for the 2014-15 concert season. Students interested in auditioning can do so through May 1st (www.mya.org/audition). MYA offers its students the chance to perform at the best concert venues throughout the Chicagoland area including: Symphony Center, Millennium Park, Ravinia, Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, and internationally through world-wide concert tours.

MYA is a full-curriculum pre-college music school which has garnered a reputation among professional musicians and educators as a place for students to:
• become exceptional young musicians
• perform the world’s finest music
• participate in world-class competitions
• study with master teachers
• have fun and tour the world!

Midwest Young Artists offers programs in:
- Chamber Music (65+ Ensembles & we host a National Chamber Competition)
- Jazz (Combos, Ensembles, Big Band)
- Orchestra (from beginner through Highschool)
- Wind Symphony
- Choral Singing groups 
- Music Theory and History
- Early Chilhood Music & Movement

MYA is a 501 c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing an environment where young musicians can thrive creatively with access to the finest instruction and world renowned guest artists & masterclasses in a nurturing, judgement-free climate. We are dedicated to ensuring that every qualified student is able to participate regardless of financial standing. We offer financial aid and various merit scholarships.

Students accepted into one of MYA’s programs will have the opportunity to work with internationally known guest artists and master class teachers, including current Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians and professors from Northwestern University, Wheaton College, Carthage College, DePaul University, and more!
