(Highwood, Illinois) The March 4, 2014 “Mesirow Financial Presents! Taste of Midwest Young Artists” benefit event, held at the Mesirow Financial headquarters in Chicago raised $25,700 for the non-profit youth music center. Based in Highwood, Midwest Young Artists (MYA) serves over 1,000 students per year through a variety of performing ensembles, summer programs, competitions, and community outreach initiatives.

Mesirow Financial, an independent financial services firm founded and headquartered in Chicago, supports the arts vigorously through their Mesirow Financial Presents! program. Mesirow underwrote the costs of the event, which included a cocktail hour and concert spectacular in their James C. Tyree auditorium. 100% of the proceeds from both ticket sales and raffle will go directly to Midwest Young Artists in support of their programming and scholarships.
