Morkin went to Deerfield High School and played football at Northwestern.
Michael Claude Morkin, 63, of Highland Park and formerly of Lake Forest, passed away April 9, 2014.
He was a graduate of Deerfield High School, played football at Northwestern University and was a broker for 30 years at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Beloved husband of Ruth; loving father of Mike and Tommy; cherished brother of Kevin (Susan), Terry (Jen) and Jean (Jon); and dear uncle of many.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 from 4-7 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11 am at St. Patrick Church, 950 W. Everett, Lake Forest, IL. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
