Highland Park Obituary: Robert Happ, 85

He was a veteran of the Korean War and active in the local Kiwanis Club and the Illinois Bell Telephone Pioneer Club.

Robert F. Happ, 85, Korean War Veteran, of Highland Park, passed away June 13, 2014.
He was a lifelong member of the Illinois Bell Telephone Pioneer Club as well as the past Lieutenant Governor of the Highland Park/Highwood Kiwanis Club.

Beloved husband of Nancy, nee Bell; loving father of Robert Jr. (Marissa), Michael (Sue), Lisa Happ (Stephen Stein), Mary (Philip) Balke, Daniel, Ann, Kathryn (Mark) Semisch and David (SunHee); adored grandfather of 27; cherished great-grandfather of 7; and dearest brother of Therese Anne (the late Frank) Selzer, Marilyn (the late Edward) Wade, Irene (Allan) Homberger and the late Dorothy (Irwin) Schneider, Louise (Joseph) Schwall and Rosalie Happ.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
