Obituary: Sarah Menoni, 29, Antioch High School Teacher

Menoni, of Highland Park, will be remembered with a memorial visitation Monday afternoon and a mass Tuesday.

The following obituary is from Kelley Spalding Funeral Home:

Sarah E. Menoni, 29, of Highland Park, passed away January 5, 2013. She was a graduate of University of Illinois, Champaign and a Spanish teacher at Antioch High School.

Beloved daughter of Debra, nee Kreft and Michael Menoni; dear sister of Michelle; loving fiancé of Charles Brandl; cherished granddaughter of Carol and Henry Kreft and Robert and the late Tina Menoni; fond niece, cousin and friend of many.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, January 7th from 3-8 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. A memorial mass will be Tuesday, January 8th at 11 am at St. James Church, 134 North Ave., Highwood, IL. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Antioch High School, ATTN: Dr. Phyllis Fay, 1133 Main St., Antioch, IL 60002.

What a shame to lose somebody so young, talented and giving. May Highland Park and Antioch, and others, remember her with great memories.

When reading my story above you probably are wondering why I didn't use customary paragraphs inRead More composing this article. The fact is I did! However, those AOL/Patch software designers who recently put this new format together didn't allow for paragraphs, boldfacing and some other essential typographical aids that make stories more readable. I have no idea why. Hopefully this oversight will soon be corrected. Ed Collins, Contributor
