Shirley Hattis, Highland Park Resident, Dies

Shirley L. Hattis (nee Tannenbaum) of Highland Park died Saturday. She was 88,

Hattis was the beloved wife of the late Russell. She was the loving mother of Cindy Hattis, Jim Hattis and Paul (Lisa Samelson) Hattis as well as the proud grandmother of Scott, Joey, Sari and Zev Hattis. She was also the dear sister of Muriel (the late Samuel) Wigodner and the late Beverly (the late Hotsy) Gerstein.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Congregation B’nai Torah, 2789 Oak Street, Highland Park with interment at Zion Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Indian Center, 1630 W. Wilson Avenue, Chicago 60640 (www.aic-chicago.org) are welcome.
