Crosswalk Hog

I am so tired of selfish, dangerous drivers in this town.  I was waiting to cross Laurel Avenue on the west side of St. Johns. A mother and her little boy waited too.  The helmeted little guy was on a two-wheeler with training wheels.  Mom was carefully explaining why they were waiting for the walk light.  It came up and we started across.  An east bound car in the far right lane pulled completely over the cross-walk.  She look over and watched us cross.  I gestured for her to back up and she looked away.  (There was no one behind her.)  The mother had to guide her preschooler out into traffic to get around the front of that car.  The intersection needs a crossing guard, especially for library storytime.
