Host a Kid-Friendly Cinco de Mayo Party

Fun activities for the kids at your Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican Holiday that celebrates the Mexican Army’s victory over France in the mid 1800’s, has become a bigger and bigger event here in the U.S., mostly due to our love of Margaritas and imported beer. However, it has morphed into a celebration of Mexican culture - so why not take the opportunity to teach your kids about Mexico in a fun way.

If you were thinking about inviting some friends or neighbors over this weekend to celebrate, here are five Cinco de Mayo party ideas the kids will love.  It’s a Fiesta!

Mexican Flag – Have the kids make their own Mexican Flags with this fun idea from the A Mom Not a Pro blog. Even a toddler can make this fun flag art.
