IS HIGHLAND PARK MAYOR NANCY ROTERING IMPEACHABLE?

When a an Elected Official takes the Oath of Office they are required to swear an Oath to "Preserve, Protect and Defend the Constitution". If the President of the United States can be Impeached for violating the public's trust and has violated the Constitution... then shouldn't a Mayor be held to the same measure? The question is in regards to Highland Park City Mayor Nancy Rotering and the Assault Weapons Ban, that she and the City Council Passed. If the Courts find H.P. Guilty of violating the Constitution, then wouldn't that mean that the Mayor and City Council are guilty of sedition? I question the whole process in which the decision was made. When was the matter discussed? Was it discussed during the Closed Meeting...Does that violate the Open Meetings Act? Hmmm. In Illinois we have an unusual political scene, in that very few people actually vote and Chicagoland dominates the entire state. The shenanigans of the Madigans goes on with little to no resistance and our Governors keep ending up in Prison! Perhaps we have so much corruption in Illinois politics that it is just business as usual. We need to hold them accountable and call them out at every infraction. We need to make them uphold their Oath of Office or get out of Office. Most Illinois residents do not speak out, that is the problem here and when somebody does... they catch hell. Well dish it out and know that you support the most corrupt political machine in the Central USA.
