NO BLOOD IN THE STREETS???

What the hell is going on? The thousands of FOID Card possessing gun owners of Illinois have received their Conceal Carry Licenses and there has not been a single incident of any kind! The critics have told us that there will be "BLOOD IN THE STREETS". Could it be... that law abiding gun owners are not the problem, that the problem is really the criminals and gang bangers? In Illinois we have a Firearms Owner Identification = FOID Card. Illinois is the ONLY state in the entire nation to have a statewide FOID Card. It requires a background check to be obtained and another background check for every firearm purchased... whether here, out of state, at a gun show, where ever. Many people do not know that fact, many people do not understand the difficulty in obtaining a Conceal Carry License in Illinois. It takes more to get a CCL in Illinois than it does in most states. Some states do not require any license, that is called Constitutional Carry. Illinois is the last state to finally get on board with Conceal Carry and it took a Federal Court Ruling and the Illinois Supreme Court to get the powers that be in Illinois to finally give the people of Illinois back their Constitutional Right to Bear Arms. WHY? Why did it take over 50 years and several lawsuits that dragged on for years? Because people like AG Lisa Madigan would not accept the fact that we have a Constitutional Right to Bear Arms. She has no problem accepting the actions of her Father, House Speaker Mike Madigan. A little conflict of interest never stopped an Illinois politician from seeking an office of which they will not do their job. But that is another matter, for another day. Illinois, the 50th state to enact a Conceal Carry Law has thousands of licensed Conceal Carry permit holders, walking and driving all over the state. Sitting in restaurants, movie theaters and in traffic on the Dan Ryan Expressway... yet not a single shootout...Wild West Style. Hmmm, I guess Illinois is NOT that different from the other 49 states in which Conceal Carry has been legal for many years and the others in which it has always been legal. I would like to call out those who spewed their fear mongering non-sense... Gov. Pat Quinn, AG Lisa Madigan, House Speaker Mike Madigan, Senate President John Cullerton, and every single Democrat state Representative from Chicago and Cook County. Lets not forget the Bullhorn of anti-gun non-sense from Lake County either...Rep. Scott Drury. Then we have the anti-gun advocates from the Illinois 10th District. I would love to see how many of the women in the "League of Women Voters" have applied for a Conceal Carry license. Well, it will be good to see opinions about gun ownership change in Illinois and to see that the non-sense spread by our anti-gun advocate politicians was just about as much non-sense, as their plan to fix our state budget.
