AN EBONY NEWS FLASH: I'm Officially Out Of My Shell!!

Yup, I've arrived thanks to the loving care that I have received from the angels at Placing Paws Rescue, and my terrific foster family. 

My name is EBONY, and I am an 18-months oldish black lab and German Shepherd mix most likely. I weigh about 55 lbs, and I have a beautiful black coat with a splash of white here and there. 

I was frightened and wandering when I lived in rural Missouri, so needless to say I was a little tentative when I first arrived in Illinois. BUT LOOK AT ME NOW!! Actually, you can look at me now if you go here and watch my video:

Currently I am a snuggler, a champion kisser and I love to go out for walks (well not in this weather though, brrrrr...), and I am doing super well with my obedience training.  I am very food motivated, smart and cooperative so any kind of training is a breeze.

Also, to add to my other fabulous attributes I am potty trained, spayed, healthy with all of my shots up-to-date and I don't mind a crate every now and then. Actually, I just bop on over and plop into mine whenever the fancy strikes me. 

I love people of all shapes and sizes including the wee ones, and other dogs too. So please, please give me a second chance in life, and offer me a forever home and become my special people.
