3 Juveniles Arrested for Golf Cart Theft

One was also charged with criminal damage to property for driving the cart into parked vehicles.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Stolen golf carts

Three juveniles were arrested for the theft of three golf carts from a facility in the 1300 block of Sunset Road at 6 p.m. June 19. One of the juveniles was also charged with criminal damage to property after striking two parked vehicles in the parking lot.

A wheeled recycle can was placed at the curb in the 600 block of Mulberry Place along with three other garbage cans for pick-up at 7:30 a.m. June 16. After pick-up the recycle can was missing.

Burglary from a motor vehicle

A briefcase was taken from the trunk of a car sometime between 5-5:30 p.m. June 17 while at a business in the 1800 block of First Street. The trunk of the car was open. The briefcase contained miscellaneous items including an Apple laptop, Samsung DVD Drive and a white iPhone 4.

Theft 

A white mini-van, unknown make and model, pumped $40.20 worth of gas and drove off without paying at a business in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road near midnight June 17.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of cash missing from a wallet that was left unsecured adjacent to the pool deck area at a business in the 1100 block of Half Day Road sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on June 18..

Criminal damage to property

A 3-foot by 2.5-foot hole was cut into a fence in the 1800 block of Old Skokie Road. The time frame is unknown. There are no complaints of any missing property.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of a black Samsung Galaxy S5 stolen from a store's display table in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road sometime on June 21.
