3-Car Accident Leads to DUI Arrest

A second DUI arrest was made on Park Avenue.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Aggravated DUI

Mario Vazquez-Gonzalez, 45, of the 500 block of Skokie Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving while license suspended for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and uninsured motor vehicle after police responded to a 3-car accident in the 300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 6:15 p.m. July 13. He was transported to bond court pending court date.


Bernardo Morales-Salgado, 41, of the 500 block of Greenview Avenue in Park City, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no valid drivers license after police stopped him in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West at 3 a.m. July 12. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with an Aug. 15 court date.

All of us don`t want to accident but sometimes we cannot avoid it.. its better to be prepared with this matter by learning/having things that are useful if we are getting involved in any tragedy. What might really help is don't drink and drive, get a license, and have valid insurance.
