57 Year Old Arrested for Trying to Flee Police

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The information below comes from the Highland Park Police Department.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle sometime between Sept. 7 at 12 p.m. and Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. Taken was a Bell Radar Detector. The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Highmoor Road.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported unknown persons smashed a front passenger side window and removed a brown purse located on front passenger side floor while parked in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West. 

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a home stereo system from the back seat while parked in a driveway between 1:00 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. in the 3100 block of Murphy Road, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported unknown persons smashed a front passenger side window and removed a purse located on front passenger side floor while parked in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West. 

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported sometime between 5:35 p.m. and 6 p.m. unknown person(s) removed a brown leather Coach Purse from a vehicle while parked in the 1300 block of Clavey Road. The purse contained a wallet with cash and was stolen from the back seat with the window rolled down, vehicle locked.

Driving under the influence

Marcie Wender, 60, of the 1600 block of Sherwood Road, Highland Park was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, uninsured motor vehicle and two headlamps required after being stopped by police near the intersection of Deerfield Road and Richfield Avenue, Highland Park.  Wender was released on a cash bond with a court date of Oct. 19 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan.

Zechariah Kirscher, 25, of the 1600 block of Second Street, Highland Park was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no valid drivers license after being stopped by police near the intersection of Central Avenue and Hickory Street, Highland Park.  Kirscher was released on a cash bond with a court date of Oct. 19 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan.

Cornelius Anyere, 39, of the 12500 block of Fairview Avenue, Blue Island was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, uninsured motor vehicle, no registration and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  Anyere was released on a cash bond with a court date of Oct. 19 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan.

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported unknown persons between Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. and Sept. 11 at 6:45 a.m. removed cash from a wallet possibly at a party held on Sept. 9. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Burr Oaks Lane, Highland Park. 

Motor vehicle theft

Police are investigating a report of a motor vehicle theft. It was reported unknown persons stole a 1999 Chevy 3500 dump truck and white trailer which contained two commercial lawn mowers, leaf blower, trimmer, and misc tools after gaining access to a storage area from fence located near the bike path in the 1500 block of Old Deerfield Road, Highland Park.

Theft of lost property

Police are investigating a report of a theft of lost property. It was reported a wallet may have accidentally been left behind at a business in the 600 block of Elm Place while shopping.  The wallet contained 3 credit cards, a drivers license and cash.  

Fleeing and eluding/reckless driving

Marshall Wolbers, 57, of the 500 block of Gifford Street, Genoa City, WI, was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, driving while license suspended and disobeying a traffic control device after officers attempted to stop Wolbers in the 1500 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Wolbers was eventually stopped by Deerfield Police Department and was held on felony charges. Wolbers was given a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Oct. 24 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City on the Highland Park charges.

Disorderly conduct

Nicolae Pastiu, 45, of the 700 block of Barberry Road, Highland Park was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a verbal dispute in the 700 block of Barberry Road, Highland Park.  Pastiu was released on a cash bond with a court date of Oct. 24 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City. 

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported unknown person(s) damaged plexi glass on a vending machine in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue. The plexi glass was broken at the very bottom on the front. All of the items remained inside of the vending machine and it did not appear as if anything was taken.
