Lake Forest Man Hospitalized After Car Crash

A two car crash occurred at Route 41 and Old Elm Road on Wednesday.

The information below comes from the Lake Forest Police Department.

A two car crash occurred at Route 41 and Old Elm Road on Wednesday, according to the Lake Forest Police Department.

A car turning left from westbound Old Elm to southbound Route 41 was struck by a second car going northbound on Route 41. The northbound car disobeyed the red light on Route 41 at Old Elm, witnessess told the Lake Forest Police. The driver, a 27 year-old male from Chicago, was cited for disobeying a red light.

The turning driver, a 68 year-old male from Lake Forest, was transported by Lake Forest Fire Department paramedics to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
