Accidents Lead to Multiple DUI Arrests

Highland Park police arrested six people last week for DUI.

M. Preston Jansing-Cain, 43, of Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving under the influence and uninsured motor vehicle after police responded to a report of a two-car accident in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road at 8:30 p.m. May 13. Jansing-Cain was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of June 20.

Kristina Vaccarella, 36, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with hit & run, driving under the influence, speeding and uninsured motor vehicle after police responded to a report of a two-car accident in the 1300 block of Half Day Road at 6 p.m. May 17. Vaccarella was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of June 6.

Max Pena, 30, of Highland Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and failure to signal lane change after being stopped by police near the intersection of Second Street and Central Avenue at 8 p.m. May 17. He was released on a cash bond with a court date of June 6.

Todd Van Sickle, 40, of Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after being stopped by police near the intersection of Berkeley Road and Arbor Avenue at 10 p.m. May 17. Van Sickle was released on a cash bond with a court date of June 20.

Irvin Wiesman, 44, of Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being stopped by police in the 800 block of Clavey Road at 1:30 a.m. May 18. Wiesman was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of June 20.
