Black Acura Stolen from Highland Park, Recovered in Wisc.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of theft. It was reported that numerous valuable items have been taken from a residence over the past several weeks in the 1600 block of Linden Avenue, Highland Park. Items reported missing include a sculpture, a “Sapir” plate/bowl, 3 full length fur coats, 8-10 purses and a small gray aluminum rolling luggage bag.

Police are investigating a delayed report of theft. It was reported an unknown person stole a gray Trek bicycle (18 inch). The bicycle was parked behind the 2100 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park and was stolen sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 16. The bicycle was locked to a 5ft high pole.

Police are investigating a delayed report of theft. It was reported that two pearl necklaces are missing from a residence in the 3000 block of Dato Avenue, Highland Park. It is unknown exactly when the theft occurred, sometime within the last two months.  

Police are investigating a report of theft. It was reported that sometime between 5:18 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. unknown person(s) removed cash, a gold money clip, two credit cards and a driver's license from a locker room at a business in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  A cell phone and wallet were left behind. The credit cards were found to be subsequently used unlawfully in nearby Vernon Hills. 

Criminal damage to property

Stephane Wheeler, 25, of the 100 block of Clifton Street, Aiken, South Carolina, was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property after police responded to a report of a person who had allegedly broken the glass on a door to a business in the 600 block of Laurel Avenue, Highland Park. Wheeler was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of November 20, 2012 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property. It was reported that graffiti was written in blue marker on a wall of the train station located in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. The graffiti has since been removed. 

Motor vehicle theft

Police are investigating a report of a motor vehicle theft. It was reported that a black Acura was stolen from a driveway in the 700 block of Kimball Road, Highland Park between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on October 19, 2012.  Sometime overnight between 8:30 p.m. on October 11, 2012 and the morning of October 12, 2012 this same vehicle was left unlocked and was burglarized at which time the vehicle's keys were stolen from the center console (this incident was never reported). Highland Park Police received information on October 21, 2012 that the vehicle had been recovered by Kenosha PD in Wisconsin.
