Blotter: Car Crimes

This week, the worst offense in the city was a little tire damage.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Letting the Air Out

On Sept. 26 at around 4:40 p.m., police investigated a report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle. The car's exterior had been damaged and air was removed from its tires sometime overnight in the 500 block of Michigan Avenue in Highland Park.

Suspended Licenses

Police arrested Erin L. Christensen and charged her with driving while license suspended and speeding on Sept. 30 at around 5:30 p.m. She was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Police arrested Shartia M. Winters and charged her with driving while license suspended and speeding on Oct. 2 at around 2 a.m. She was also released on a personal recognizance bond.
