Firearms, Ammunition Stolen from Highland Park Home

Theft under $500

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that within an unknown time frame a gas credit card was stolen from a vehicle and subsequently used three times in Cicero. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that on Friday, January 11, 2013 a 26 inch Boys Schwinn Cross Over bicycle was parked in the bike rack in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, Highland Park.  At approximately 5:30pm on January 14, 2013, the bicycle and lock were missing. 

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a delayed report of criminal damage to property. Several smiley faces and a flower drawn in green and pink chalk were located on the east wall of the underpass located near Berkeley Road and McCraren Road, Highland Park.

Residential burglary

Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary. It was reported that sometime on Jan. 17 between 8:00am and 11:00am unknown person(s) broke a window in rear door and entered a residence. Numerous items including an LCD TV, jewelry and china were taken. The incident occurred in the 0-100 block of Lakeside Place, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary. It was reported that sometime on Jan. 18 between 9:00am and 10:00pm unknown person(s) forced entry to a side door with what appears to be a blunt object and entered a residence. Numerous firearms, ammunition filled magazines and miscellaneous jewelry were taken. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Ferndale Avenue, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a Residential Burglary. It was reported that sometime on Jan. 18 between 5:00pm and 10:30pm unknown person(s) forced entry to a back door with a type of tool and entered a residence. Numerous pieces of jewelry and two holiday themed pillow cases were taken. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Ferndale Avenue, Highland Park. 

Burglary to motor vehicle

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported that a purse was stolen from a Ford F250 on 01/17/2013 between 7:15 pm and 9:00 pm while parked in a lot in the 400 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park. No forced entry was observed. 

Attempt possession of controlled substance

Antoine Heard, 25, of the 1700 block of Nash, Milwaukee, Wisconsin was arrested and charged with driving while registration suspended, attempt possession of a controlled substance, uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a no turns sign after being stopped by police in the 1100 block of Half Day Road, Highland Park. Smith was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of February 20, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Driving under the influence

Patrick Dezell (53) of the 300 block of Ivanhoe Road, Grayslake was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, disobeying a stop sign, speeding and resisting a peace officer after being stopped by police in the 1200 block of Half Day Road, Highland Park.  Dezell was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of February 22, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.
