Updated: Two Injured after Car Drives into Binny's Beverage, Starting Fire

Two people were injured after a car crashed through Binny's Beverage Depot in Highland Park ignited bottles of alcohol on Thursday morning.

Update 12:05 p.m. Thurs.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that a BMW crashed through a glass wall at Binny's Beverage Depot at about 10 a.m. Thursday morning, setting bottles of hard liquor on fire and sending the female driver and a store employee to Highland Park Hospital for burn injuries.

According to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner Facebook page, "2 ambulances transporting for burn victims, also sprinklers activated."

A car has reportedly struck Binny's Beverage Depot, located at 153 Skokie Valley Road, in Highland Park, and started the building on fire, according to a dispatch alert Patch received shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.
