Car Gets Scratched Near High School

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park and Deerfield Police Departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Criminal Damage to Property 

Police are investigating a report on Sept. 27 of damage to a black Dodge Charger. Two scratches on the driver's side and one on the rear of the car were located as well as the caps to the tire valves were on the ground next to the car. The two scratches were noticed on Sept. 26 and a third scratch and the tire caps noticed on Sept. 27. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports

An officer on routine patrol Sept. 28 located numerous items of graffiti using black spray paint located at the end of a trail running from Sheridan Road and Edgecliffe Drive to the beach, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Theft 

Police are investigating a report of a theft Sept. 29. It was reported that a silver Subaru Forester Wagon pumped $44.30 at pump 19 and left without payment in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Driver’s License Infractions and More 

Roman Celestino, 38, of Highland Park was arrested Sept. 22 for driving on a suspended license and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports. Police clocked Celestino driving 40 miles per hour in a 30-per-mile-hour zone on Deerfield Road near Pine Street. After stopping him, police learned his license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. in Park City.
