Cash Stolen From Parked Car

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle Sept. 10, according to Highland Park Police reports. It was reported that a silver Chrysler Sebring parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road at approximately 2:00 PM was entered. Two envelopes containing cash was missing from the center console. Also missing was cash from a wallet in the center console. The vehicle was presumed locked, but the trunk was open upon return to the vehicle. The wrong button to lock may have been used.

Uriel Pena-Vargas, 26, of of Park City was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, no valid drivers license and failure to signal after being stopped by police near the intersection of McGovern and Laurel Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. Pena-Vargas was released on bond is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Oct. 4 in Waukegan.

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property Sunday, according to Highland Park Police reports. It was reported that graffiti in the form of a white spray painted heart was located on a rear alley garage in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue.
Driver’s License Infractions and More
Eric Bodamer, 39, of Kenosha, WI, was arrested Sept. 13and charged with driving while license revoked and expired registration after being stopped by police in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Oct. 9 in Park City.
