Cell Phone Use Leads to Drug Bust

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of Cannabis 

Kalen Boore, 23, of Chicago was arrested Friday for possession of cannabis and utilizing a hand held device while driving near the intersection of Lake Cook and Skokie Valley Roads, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court on Sept. 10 in Waukegan. 

DUI

Mathew Brady, 27, of Lake Villa was arrested August 16 for driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol and speeding in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court on Sept. 13 in Waukegan. 

Joshua Hawkins, 18, of Wilmette was arrested Monday for driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control device in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Sept. 20 in Waukegan.

Theft 

Three diamond rings and a pair of diamond earrings were reported stolen August 7 from a home in the 1600 block of McCraren Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. They were last seen three weeks ago. 

Criminal Damage to Property 

A retaining wall near the beach at Edgecliffe Drive and Sheridan Road was reportedly sprayed with purple and gold spray paint, according to Highland Park Police reports.
