Chicago Men Arrested For Highland Park Burglaries

The following report was provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not indicate guilt.

Officers arrested two Chicago men following an ongoing investigation of daytime burglaries in Highland Park, Glencoe, Wilmette, Winnetka, Lake Forest and Northbrook, according to police.

Destyne Butler, 18, and Brian Johnson, 28, were charged with burglary, according to the police report. Butler was also placed on electronic monitoring, according to police.

Detectives observed a residential burglary pattern involving force to side and rear doors where electronics, jewelry and musical instruments were stolen from residences, police say.

The men were arrested for a residential burglary that occurred in Northbrook, and charges are pending for burglaries that occurred in Lake County and other jurisdictions.
