Daughter of Highland Park Businessman Killed in Plane Crash Dies of Injuries
Katherine Bronken, 15, died Wednesday resulting from injuries she sustained during a flight piloted by her father, Jeffrey Bronken, who died at the scene of the plane crash on Saturday in Florida, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The 15-year-old daughter of the Highland Park businessman Jeffrey Bronken, who was killed in a plane crash Saturday, has also died from injuries she sustained during the accident, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Katherine Bronken was aboard the ill-fated flight that ended with the plane crashing nose first near St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport on Saturday.
The girl's friend, who also was aboard the Piper PA-28, remains in stable condition at a Florida hospital.
The National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Bronken, 53, who owned the Glass Man, Inc. in Highland Park, reported having fuel issues prior to the crash.
The 911 calls made by witnesses of the accident were recently released. According to the Chicago Tribune, in 2009, the Bronken's older daughter died in a snowmobile accident.
