Driver Ignores Police, Gets Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Obedience to Police Officer 

Jonathan Hernandez-Jaimes, 22, of Highwood was arrested August 27 and charged with no valid driver’s license, seatbelt violation and obedience to a police officer after failing to stop when lights and sirens were activated near the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park, according to Highland Park Police reports. HernandezJaimes was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Oct. 9, in Park City.

Norman Ewald, 18, of Wilmette was arrested August 28 and charged with driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and speeding after being stopped by police near Deerfield Road and Hickory Street, according to Highland Park Police reports. Ewald was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Sept. 13 in Waukegan. 

Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts

Police are investigating a reported theft August 26 of a spoiler from the trunk of a Mercedes Benz while it was parked in a lot in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road between 9:45 and 11 a.m. 

Driver’s License Infractions and More 

Ashley Bradshaw, 27, of Waukegan was arrested August 26 and charged with driving while license suspended and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, , according to Highland Park Police reports. Bradshaw was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Sept. 11 in Park City.
