Four Cars Broken Into in Highland Park Last Week

Burglary to a motor vehicle
July 29: Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported that the driver's side window of a Jeep Patriot was broken and unknown person(s) entered the vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. Nothing was reported taken. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park.

August 3: Police are investigating a burglary to a motor vehicle while parked overnight in the 900 block of Marion Avenue, Highland Park. It was reported that unknown person(s) broke the front passenger window on a silver Honda and a wallet was taken.

August 3: Police are investigating a burglary to a motor vehicle while parked overnight in the 900 block of Marion Avenue, Highland Park. It was reported that unknown person(s) broke the front passenger window on a BMW. Items inside the vehicle were moved, unknown if anything was taken.

August 4: Police are investigating a burglary to a motor vehicle while parked overnight in the 1800 block of Northland Avenue, Highland Park. It was reported that unknown person(s) broke the front passenger window on a gray Jeep SUV which was locked and a radar detector was taken.

Criminal damage to vehicle

July 29: Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to vehicle. It was reported that between 9:00pm on 07/28/13 and 6:00pm 07/29/13, the rear drivers side tail light cover was damaged on a maroon Nissan Altima parked on the street.The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Chatfield Drive, Highland Park.
