Four Cars Burgled in Highland Park

The information below comes from the Highland Park Police Department.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that a Samsung Galaxy tablet was stolen from a purse left unattended. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that a Samsung Chrome Book laptop left unattended was stolen.  The incident occurred in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that two bags of items placed on front porch were taken between the hours of 8:45am and 11:45am. Items included were gold Chanel boots and a brown Chanel bag.  The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Watercress Way, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that an Apple Iphone 5 was discovered missing after shopping at a business in the 600 block of Elm Place, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that a white Iphone 4S was misplaced and subsequently stolen while attending Ravinia on June 7, 2013 sometime between 9:30 and 10:00pm.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that a Kia Optima, Mercury Mountaineer and Chevy Tahoe were entered sometime between 2:00am and 7:00am while parked and unlocked in the rear alley in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. Coins and miscellaneous cd’s were taken. 

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that unknown person(s) entered an unlocked Nissan parked in a driveway in the 1300 block of Glencoe Avenue sometime between the afternoon of June 6, 2013 and June 7, 2013.  A dress, sunglass case and a t-shirt were taken.

Residential burglary

Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary. It was reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) entered through an unlocked side door of a garage, entered a vehicle and stole sunglasses and two candy bars. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Skokie Avenue, Highland Park. 

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported that sometime after 10:00pm on June 6, 2013; a varsity baseball lawn sign was removed from the 500 block of Lyman Avenue, and was later found defaced and taped to a stop sign near Groveland Avenue and Oakland Avenue.

Criminal damage to vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to vehicle. It was reported that an unknown object struck the windshield of a Honda CRV causing it to spider web while a parked on the roadway in the area of the 3100 block of Murphy Road. 

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to vehicle. It was reported that while traveling southbound on St.  Johns Avenue near Mulberry Street, a Pace bus was struck by an unknown object causing damage to a passenger side window.
