Home on Green Bay Ransacked, Burglarized

Police are also investigating several car burglaries that occurred last week.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Police are investigating several recent burglaries to motor vehicles. Items of value have been taken from unlocked cars parked in the driveways and streets in the 500 block of Burton Avenue and 500 block of Broadview Avenue. These incidents occurred overnight between April 29 and 30.

A Jeep Compass was keyed between 4:50 and 6:30 p.m. April 30 while parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road.

Between 10 p.m. May 1 and 7:50 a.m. May 2, someone entered an unlocked 2008 Porsche Cayenne, and took a Jabra Freeway Bluetooth surround sound speaker and cash. The vehicle was parked in a driveway in the 400 block of Orchard Avenue.

Between 9:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. May 2 someone entered a residence in the 800 block of Green Bay Road through an unlocked rear door. The master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry and a silver flatware set were taken.

Sometime between 5 p.m. April 26 and 8 a.m. May 3 someone removed about 10 pieces of white metal capping, for edges of a roof, from along the outside of a dumpster that rests in driveway of a construction site in the 600 block of Crofton Avenue South.

Someone drew profane pictures with a window marker on an elevator in the 600 block of Laurel Avenue. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. May 3  and 5 a.m. May 4. The drawings were easily wiped off the glass with no apparent permanent damage.

I'm starting to feel like Dan's libertyville boycotts are suffering due to his obsession with HP. Sounds like someone didn't get his first choice Ravinia tickets

Is there anything you dislike about your home town of round lake or is it all sunshine there compared to that dreadful northshore?

Just the fact that Dan lives there keeps the real estate prices down. Dan who are the people that are moving out of Hp? There are 5 new businesses opened or being opened in the downtown area. How many new businesses in your town? Why haven't the few good people you know picked up and moved to round lake yet? Maybe because no one wants to live in that dump. Why do they even bother collecting taxes there, it doesn't seem to be helping the community. Oh wait, I forgot about the fine dining of the iron horse grill, maybe that's why people move there. Do you lubricate your gun before insertion into your rectum or does it go in dry.

The people who are supposedly moving out are probably the same people who were going to leave one subdivision at a time after the education referendum. The crabby-a&s people who don't have enough skill to move the discussion in their direction really need to learn that cheap gossipy threats and flat-out lies have no effect. Do your homework and quit assuming you're smarter than everybody in the room. You're not and neither were the people who lied and used cheap threats in the 113 referendum.
